UK has such a serious problem with crushed leaves creating serious slippage on their tracks that they have needed to build specialised units to clear the tracks. They have opened a competition to name their trains.

I think everywhere does in the Fall. I recall an electric commuter taking me back to Summit, NJ, which [surprise] is at the top of a hill. On the way up, there were lots of ‘bangs’ as the breakers tripped due to wheel slips.
