Name that country

…with the Olympic team with the questionable fashion sense (no cheating if you know the answer!).

Well it wasn’t the USA which I thought were very smart looking.

Neither was it Australia which were a bit too flashy for my tastes.

Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, and is not separately represented at the Olympic Games. The seperate constituent elements of the UK - England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and the Channel Islands, are only represented in the Commonwealth Games. The Isle of Man, which is NOT part of the UK, but a dependent territory, may or may not chose to take part.

The Republic of Ireland, an independent nation, has its very own team.

Hint - this country is a member of the EU

Well I knew they were part of the UK, my paternal grandparents are from there. I was going by the crazy orange ties. I didn’t realize at the time that they would be a part of the UK during the Olympics…just a slight brain fart…

The Orange is what gave it away for me–William of Orange was Dutch, but thanks to the habits of inbreeding among European royalty, he also got to be king of England and crush my ancestors in Ireland

I guess my European history is a little rusty…

Wow. I’m not sure which is worse, the suits; or the hair on the two guys at lower left.

They might look a bit …ah …um “different”, but the Dutch sure can swim OK.

Well if this was not the Olympics, I would have guessed the Village People !!! You know the ones associated with music…

Cheers, The old fardt from Oregun

Didn't some part of South Africa declare itself an "Orange Free State"? Must've been hell when you desperately needed a screwdriver.

Cheers
