Too rich for my blood, but it is nice to have a standard gauge small steamer as a sparky. I model the NP, at least in part, and that would be nice to have.
Ya hear, Aristo and USAT?
I visit the original on occasion…really neat up close. The W. Crooks is a fun little steamer too! Both can be found here;

I’d love to have one, but not at that price.
It is kind of sweet to see prototypes from other gauges re-geauged to fit one common model track gauge, long done in 1:22.5 but now also applied in 15mm scale (Falk, Bachman 2-8-0, a range of Accucraft UK and DE models). A great reason in itself to buy this particular model of course;-)… Pity it is not in 1:22.5 but being a rather small prototype that should not matter much. Cute thing! Best wishes from Tokyo, Zubi
Good news! I received a confirmation of the track gauge from PSC: “Yes, will be 45mm gauge to accommodate existing track availability. Thank you” Unfortunately, smaller track gauge will have some effect on the cylinder spacing which is so cute on the prototype… Best, Zubi PS finally Durango Dan caught up with the news, showing a nice photo of Minnetonka in service http://120pointme.blogspot.com/2009/04/from-out-of-left-field-files.html however, his suggestion that PSC re-enters 15mm scale after their long caboose is not correct, about a year or two ago PSC released the donkey

and they still have their great ore car kit in stock

Plus, their caboose was not bad at all (the only real problem I could identify on mine are the trucks which are sub-optimal, apparently designed to be sprung but not quite correctly so ended up assembled solid).
I think maybe he meant simply that the caboose had gone away … and I’m not sure I’d count the donkey as much rolling stock as flatcar load … Are the ore cars a current production item or leftover from before?
