My Railways first open house of sorts

One of my wife’s coworkers and her family are coming over for a cookout and bonfire tonight. So it will by my railways first open house of sorts, granted it anybody else on the forums wanted to stop over, they would be welcome but I no of none on here or over on MLS that live close by. Will just be running onboard battery power tonight, the lines steamer hasn’t arrived yet. Mike

Good luck Mike on your first open house. I just hope the Gremlins stay home.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Thanks, I have 3 of my 4 engines charged up, so I should be set. Both of my Kalamazoo engines have cracked axle gears, only super glue and wire ties keeping them locked on the axles, so I am not running them much. Should have the funds in a couple more weeks of mowing grass to order new axle/gear assemblies from Hartland to fix both of them. So those are being kept as back ups for today. I have the European passenger train with the 2073d green Eurovapor engine ready to pull them. Then I have the LGB 2-4-0 thats relettered for my autism express ready to go. The colorfull MCRR 4-4-0 is my back up engine, the black 4-4-0 has the most issues wit h its gears at the moment. Mike

Have fun Mike. And remember relax and have fun. Don’t let any anxiety creep in. Enjoy sharing with friends.

  3. Don’t let it bother you

  4. Have fun

Oh yeah, we want pictures!

Pics are always good and hope it went well unless the party is still going then that’s a bonus!

Didnt have time for any pics, wouldn’t have shown anything different from my other pics. I ran the 2073d till the battery started to fade, swapped out for the 2-4-0 starter set engine from LGB, which is still running right now! Had a couple kid induced derailments but nothing serious. I will get some pics of the layout with it being all cleaned up tomorrow before the storms come in during the late afternoon. Mike

Good time to get pictures. I’m glad things went well!

Here are a few pre arrival of the guests pictures. Took them before I mowed the yard and ran the weed wacker so the grass looks a bit ragged. Spent this evening putting up a new garage door opener, so no fun with the new live steamer or new pics with the grass nicely mowed. Mike
