Heheh! Thanks guys.

I just realized I posted those last two pics in the wrong thread. Oh well.

They look just as good here as they would there
You should have posted them in the " decline of modeling" thread. No text needed

Couldn’t agree more Ralph

WOW. Those are fantastic pictures. If I’m not mistaken, the reflection in the bottom photo is your house, but it’s just far enough away to scale properly. The fact that there is nothing out of scale anywhere in the photo helps with the illusion. Of course, without your superb weathering technique it wouldn’t look nearly as real.

Is that glass or acrylic glazing? I remember you were using slide glass early on.

Yes, the reflections are of the back of our house. Possibly the neighbor’s house too.

The glass is actually .010" lexan. My first building has real glass, made from slide covers. Originally I was concerned about the effects of UV exposure on lexan but after hearing from some who have used it, I decided to give it a try, first on the rock shop and now on this new building.

I like the look of real glass but anything larger than 22mm x 50mm is super expensive, and hard to find. Also, glass is a pain to work with and breaks too easily.
