Large Scale Central

My latest conversion is a Solarium car

Again thank you all for the comments.

As to the questions:

Greg = were the top windows curved at the ends? Were they hard to do?

Upper windows were rolled around the handle of an exacto knife(the straight aluminum tube style one) and clamped when a half circle was reached. Then left to sit for a few day so they would hold the curve. Hard part is making sure the curve is clamped at the very end of the window or you will leave a flat area that may not work. No heat just time.

Ken = Where’s the friggin table cloths?

It’s a lunch counter not a dining room. Think Lyndon Diner buddy (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Wow, Dave… That is awesome. Very, very nicely done… Very nicely done… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Very inspiring David,

I want to add a dome to an observation car eventually, but am terrified of the thought of cutting into an aluminum car. You and Rooster have shown that it’s possible to get nice results working with aluminum. I’m not ready yet, but I’ll continue to watch and learn.

Shane

Gorgeous work Hollywood!! Love those curved windows.

Amazing interior too, wow.

Thanks again on the comments gents (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

You forgot the sunk in end of the sofa…wait, never mind… this is a model you made (kitbash) not your living room…

Shane.

After seeing the caliber of your abilities I have no doubt you’ll produce a car anyone would be proud to own. Just remember the fluting will catch a small drill bit so ‘Slow’ is the key. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Not too shabby Hollywood …(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

That is a very cool car. I love all the interior detail

Excellent work, as always. Not sure who your interior decorator is, but that couch on a moving train would give me motion sickness  I love all the little details.
