Large Scale Central

My health update.

My layout is as done as I had ever intended it to be done by this time two years ago. The big picture isn’t done yet but is a RR every really done. Yeah there is lots to do but I have track and I can run trains. I need to finish a few sidings and need to build a whole lot of buildings and bridges.

The bigger better question is “now that its summer have I finished spring cleaning, realigned track, re-ballasted, filled in sinking low spots, run the drip lines, pulled weeds, oh yeah and run a train YET” the answer to that is a big fat NO. But I do feel a whole lot better now and I can see that happening in the near future. Yesterday was the first day back to work and it kicked my butt and I didn’t even do anything. I guess 10 days post op after the second surgery in a month has me slowed down a bit. AND I WASN’T FAST TO BEGIN WITH

Dev,

Do things at your own pace. Only you know how you feel. You will do what you feel you can do. (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Take more naps.

That other stuff needs to learn it’s place. When it stops being fun, it’s out of place.

Power naps; the sane time to imagineer.

This has become my motto. I only have so much energy. And a large part of that is just going to work. When I get home from work I do what I want, what I have energy for. If I don’t have it, I don’t force it. And i take naps. i never used to nap. Now I take at least one every day of the weekend. Its just a combination of my condition, the repetitive surgeries, and getting older. I also have three main hobbies and they can’t all have my attention. I love wood working, trains, and fishing equally. So some things get put off. It is what it is. Hopefully, I can put a string of healthy months together, get fully recovered from surgery, have a working shunt, then maybe i can feel good again.

I certainly hope so my friend! (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

So Dev, it’s been a week. You still feeling the relief? Everything seem done right?

surely he doesn’t know. he’s probably much too busy to note anything.

I saw this t-shirt at JCPennys the other day, should have picked it up for Dev…

I like that shirt. I need that shirt. Everything that should be squirting is squirting and nothing that shouldn’t be squirting is. So we are going good. I have been feeling great. I get a pressure headache once in awhile but just as fast as it sets in the valve opens up and does its job. I can live with this. No where near as intense as it was and doesnt last more than an hour. Way better than before.

I have been busy playing which feels good. I am building a table/router sled combination for flattening wood slabs. Taking the cups and twists out of them. I have some projects I want to make with all that walnut I got and this will help true up the wood. It will have many other uses as well.

I also have been pimping out my boat. If you recall I bought a little 8 foot Livingston boat to throw in my truck for quick fishing trips with Pepper. I made a shelf for the front of it that holds a bow mount electric trolling motor, a fish finder, and a couple rod holders. All removable for easy loading. I also built a removable transducer mount so I dont damage that while loading and unloading. That has been a fun little project

What about leaking? Which technically isn’t the same as squirting. Are you still running a quart low, or did the doc top you off?

If anyone needs to see the Dev wearing that shirt, and wants to chip in for that, PM me.

PM sent.

Nothing is leaking thank God. We finally plugged the leaks.

Anymore with me where one crack end another begins. And they have all seemed to have uncontrollable leaks.
