I found a new favorite. Not a true bourbon but bourbonesque. Made by a distillary in my home town. It’s a honey mead that then is distilled and aged in used bourbon barrels. No honey flavor at all but just a very smooth whiskey like liquor. The distillary is Up North. http://www.upnorthdistillery.com/honey-spirits1.html

Another milestone. Woke up this morning with no headache. Forgot how good that felt to actually be rested, open my eyes and not feel hung over.

He wants me off for two. I told him I have a desk job so he said one with light duty for the next one.
The railroad is for the most part ready for at least a little tour. Needs the track tweaked after winter and some weeding. It just isnt pretty. Bit it’s me that keeps holding everything up. So hopefully next week I can get it weeded and track all aligned and maybe even ballasted.then we can talk about coming over.

I often heard that spinal fluid, when distilled 60/40 with alcohol, puts an excellent faux patina on brass. Don’t suppose you kept any?

[edit] I meant the spinal fluid. Got the alcohol covered, but feel free to send that too. Also heard that bourbon-base alcohol works well, it’s called “bourptina,” but that’s a different process involving gastric acid.
