Well day 1 of Devon, and I wore him out. Sadly, his doctor didn’t understand his request for a free Tuesday and scheduled a CT scan smack in the middle of the day. So, can’t meet up with Paul on Tuesday, but maybe Wednesday if it works out? For some reason Devon keeps thinking this visit is all about him and not trains.
I’m holding hostage cream puffs for dessert tomorrow night, but other then that I think he will agree that it was a long, but successful day.

Devon has a brain cloud and probably wont even notice it was hijacked.

Craig and Devon will coming to visit my layout and run some trains this coming Tuesday. I’m looking forward to meeting Devon.
Paul, it’s a great offer thank you. I was looking forward to it. Hopefully we can still find a way Tuesday or Wednesday. If nothing else just to meet and say hi. Dang hospital had to ruin tomorrow’s fun with a CT scan in the middle of the day. Something about needing a road map. Not sure why you need a map to drive through an empty void.
Craig’s right it was s long but successful day. I left my house at 4:30 am to drive to Seattle for a 10 o’clock appointment. The surgeon gave me the thumbs up so they have scheduled roto rooter to come in on Thursday and do some plumbing work. Doc said he has his own stick, thanks for the offer Steve.
Stupid CT scan got in the way of playing trains. Something about needing it to guide the way. I dunno what they think they might hit.
Still dont know exactly when on Thursday but the doc shook my hand and said he was glad to help and by Thursday I will be feeling much better.
I want to thank Craig and his parents. All kidding aside they have been truly wonderful. Giving me good food, a good bed, and good hospitality. Sure makes things easier than hanging out for three days alone waiting for my wife and parents to arrive.
Oh and just for the record there is nothing wrong with diesel electrics. They make excellent stand by generators.

I am so thankful that Craig and his parents could accommodate you at this crucial time. I’m also sure that any LSC member would do the same. We love you man. Thinking of you always. I hope this is it for your relief. (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

If you say so.
Devon and his surgical team (that’s Craig on the right). Good luck man, hope Thursday is a new day for you.
Here’s what the doctor is actually installing…
Devon’s happy now. He got his cream puffs. And I made just a few extra (36 total) so he can take some home, or sneak them into the hospital. Sorry, to lazy to link a photo.
I can officially say Devon is crazy. He decided to walk 1.7 miles up hill from the Seattle Ferry dock to the hospital today. If you know Seattle, you understand the grade. Let’s just say that a Shay would struggle and you would probably need a rack railroad…
I have brain damage and today it showed. It was a nice walk but holy cow it was a doozie. Coming back wasnt bad at all, down hill the whole way.
And Craig wins the cream puff award. And not just be because he is a cream puff but because he makes great ones. I forced myself to stop at two.
Breakfast of champions? Are these the only ones left?

Does this count as a perpetual motion machine?

Only until the battery runs down Steve. (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
I will have them install a charging jack so I can hook up my tenergy battery charger at night.
6:30am check in tomorrow.
Good luck Devon, hope all comes out well
Devon, hope everything goes well tomorrow. You’ll be on our minds and in our prayers.
