Nice video. A freind of mine just got the 4-4-0. Great engine especially with a few passenger cars behind.
I like that American. Looks like it runs pretty good.
We want to know how you can play that that geetar AND run the loco…

The loco runs really well since the day I bought it, believe it or not on Ebay. The only thing I did was modify some of the look and add a goodall vavle.
It is an accucraft model and yes it looks even better with a couple of cars behindhind it especially if they are carter style coaches.(see a previous video)

I discovered that for some reaons at temps at or a little above 60 its better not to use hot water in the resevoir. When I do, it sputters from time to time and goes out. This run was for about an hour and half using two boiler fulls and no hot water in the resevoir Ambient temp was 63 F and It didn’t sputter once or go out.
Since the loco ran so well, I sat down and played my guitar while I video taped it and kept an eye on the water glass
Nice loco nice fingering to.

Tac,
Sorry for the confusion about the water temp and my current location. I’ve had the engine for about 3 years now and have used water that is warm enough to drink with no problems. I’ve never used boiling water though. Also I live on the central coast of CA. Today its cold below 60 is cold for me.
Ah, sorry, I though you lived on Hawaii.
I’ve deleted my previous post in an anguished demonstration of my abject sorrow and regret.
