Large Scale Central

My First CNC building

Still needs some work but it’s coming along…

Nice!

Very cool Martin, Looks like a great building. Since you seem to model more contemporary prototypes, I’d say the next logical progression is a CVS or Walgreens. Can’t go through any town without seeing one of those! Your switch machine project looks interesting too.

What scale are your figures?

Andrew,

Martin states in his description on his website…

“Finally got the basics together with a coat of primer. Some 1/29 People standing in front. Need some glass in the windows and an interior, some shingles on the roof and other details but the basic shell is coming off the router pretty well now. Still needs some tweaking to get a good solid production run but it’s coming together nicely.”

Yes, they are 1/29 scale people. I also have other scales too-

I can scale the building as well, that’s the beauty of all of this rapid proto stuff. Just size your model accordingly! In theory anyhow…

I guess the building does look modern. I think it’s the front doors? Change out the resin castings perhaps for a different era? Hmm.

I’m open to suggestions for people and buildings for my next pass…

looks great, cnc is Sooooooooo much fun, with so many possibilities.

Dennis

Looks great!

Thanks. Here is picture of it all finished up. Guess I need an interior now, it looks kinda empty for a grocery store… Hmm.

Make a zombie area!(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif) or use a couple of truck to simulate stocking up, and add a opening soon sign!

Or, cover the insides of the windows with (scale) newspaper and a “for sale” sign out front. There are a lot of places like that round here.

Gonna put some modern departments in there? Say a butcher?

And you’ll need some bread for a sandwich. A Baker?

Look at that eager beaver! In no time you’ll have a busy store…

Always tryin’ to help.

John

Who do you think he is? Ray Dunakin? (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
