My Dad

Earlier this year my dad was diagnosed with mesothelioma. Yesterday afternoon his suffering ended. He would have been 82 on July 11. He was a good man, and I miss him.

He was diagnosed about the same time that my wife was starting chemo, so I’m glad I got a chance to visit him a couple times before it was too late.

In our thoughts and Prayers Ray on your loss

Condolences to you and our family on the loss of your Father.

Nothing anyone can say will really ease your loss. Just remember the good times and maybe allow yourself time to grieve before making any life changing decisions.

Ray,

My condolences on your loss. Losing a parent is one of the toughest things in life to deal with. Focus on the all the good things in your lives and try not to dwell on the loss. I lost both my parents a long time ago but I still am occasionally reminded of something we did together and I smile - they’re good memories.

Ray - our condolences to you and your family. Please remember that time will heal your feelings of loss, but memories will grow stronger with time. I lost my parents quite awhile ago (I was a late in life child) and memories of time with them is stronger than ever.

Ray - may you take from his strengths, cherish the great memories, and he will never really be gone in your heart. The good lord had other plans for one of his good and faithful servants.

Dave

Thanks guys. My sister and her husband had been caring for dad the past several months, and she was with him at the end. They came down from NV today and it was very helpful talking with her about dad.

Very sorry about your loss. I know how tough it is.

Jeez, Ray, what a bust. I am so blown away by the news of your latest burden (your dad’s passing). I admire your stoicism. Carolyn and I extend our condolences and prayers, which are in the mail (small joke just to lighten the mood). You are a saint. And a helluva modeler. As we used to say, “Keep on truckin’.”
