My 56 Roadmaster won Best in Class(1949-59) at a car show here in Neb. Beat out all the Tri-Five Chevys! Wet day though. Better than baking in the sun.
Beautiful car Jerry!
Cool!
Congrats! The car looks excellent but I think it was that vintage matching cooler that put you over the top !
Makes all that hard work worth the effort…
Congrats! Looks great.
Quote:And even better that it wasn't a convertible. ;)

Hi Jerry,
Nifty looking Buick, congrats on the win. I had a 57 tudoor Super, wish I had it now.

Jerry, congrats…
Thanks guys. Down towards the bottom of this forum page is an earlier posting I did that chronicles the rebuild on it.(Getting a 56 Buick) Sure nice now with the stock springs, rides like a Buick instead of a 40 Ford truck!(Used to have one of those!)
Congrats Jerry;
My Dad had a 1955 Buick Roadmaster. That car is probably why Darth Vader always looked kinda’ familiar to me. When you think about it, Darth Vader’s helmet/mask resembles a '55 Raodmaster as viewed from the front. Distorted, of course, but still similar.
Best wishes,
David Meashey
Nice ride. But I would rather ride the train! Did that the other day, Mt. Rainier Senice RR in Westeran Washington and it did NOT rain! They need help with ties as they are running on wood rot and dirt! Ran no. 70 a 2-8-2 loggin Mike with 40’ drivers.

Dave, we had a brand new 53 Buick, later on we got a 56. Some old family pix at the bottom of this page:

Congrats on the trophy Jerry. Nice looking ride.
Great Looking Buick Jerry.
Congrats
Thanks guys. Just got the speedometer back from rebuil, now to get it back in. Radio and clock should be here next week. Plan to sell it in the spring.
Don’t know why you would sell. This is another fun hobby and attending the car shows is great. Meet a lot of folks. It’s even better when you can bring home a trophy. You have done a fine job on restoring be a shame to not enjoy for a while. As I mentioned to you I still have the Monte I bought new in 71 and still go to car shows with it. Believe it or not it even was in the ISCA show in Omaha years back. Later RJD
Speedometer is in, worked fine as I drove it into town to my storage rental. Radio and clock are on the way, but will wait till it warms up to get them in. Nice having my pickup back in the garage with these single digit temps we’ve been having.
WOW! Did that turn out nice Jerry!!! May I have a ride?
