Tom, the standard haiku format is a triplet of lines containing five, seven, and five syllables per respective line.

so…

Rain in New England
Runoff - mud will also come
Time to check drainage

I dont usually focus on Hiakus, as they can take a long time to create. Vogon Poetry is more my speed, rather than the haiku’s efforvescent lightsness of word and meaning I prefer to pummel my audience into submission…

See, see the gravy smelling sky
Marvel at its hubris depths.
Tell me, Baluoob why
Do you wonder why
The Armadillo ignores you?
Why its foobly stare
makes you feel baconish?
I tell you, it is worried
By your hurgedly pebbled facial growth
That looks like a cheese.
What’s more, it knows
Your farstschlish potting shed
Smells of fetid wasabi.
And everything under the sweltering gravy sky
Asks why, why do you even bother?
You charm only socks.

How could I have forgot the form for a haiku? (Yes, I don’t know how to spell it.)

The closest I come to poetry is made up songs. Ethan used to say, “Dad! No stupid songs.”

Hi all,

The days are longer and warmer, the melt has started.

The snowbanks left and right up the mountain are depositing plenty of crXp on the road, my vehicle looks like a camouflage version.

Rain ryhmes with train, doesn’t?

(Just thought I’d give this somewhat of a railroad topic)
