Anyone remove any lettering from the side of a MTH tender? I want to change mine, but before I tried anything I thought I would check in and see if you guys had ever done that.
David Leech posted a method over on MLS. I tried it, and it worked pretty good. Lightly scraping over the letters to remove the coating some, then de-natured alcohol removed the rest. A little white rubbing compound smoothed it out pretty good and the lettering over it should mask any ghost image.
