Holy Carp where did this come from? I was watching Independent Lens on PBS last night on artist Wayne White, who is now my favorite contemporary artist (sorry Banksy) and they reference this show where White and a fellow artist friend of his worked on, with a wild wild art piece train opening the show, I was blown away! Its like Pee Wee’s Playhouse but with what has to be one of the all-time zaniest trains opening and closing the show! I wonder what ever happened to that train, its a great art piece!
The description says Nashville. There USED to be a lot of local content, not only on PBS, but local network affiliates.
…Now we get (un)reality shows and infomercials. Ah, progress!
I hear that Allen, used to be alot of great stuff on the local channels. Not so much anymore.
I grew up watching local stuff like this on the independent stations. Hobo Kelly, Sheriff John, all gone now. Now they are all owned my networks, studios, or a Giant Mouse, and are nothing but shills for their network parent stations.
How about KHJ’s Engineer Bill (Los Angeles) I think that it was HO on the train table.

Dave, The layout looks like it is American Flyer, the Old Timer coaches and the PA1 dismal are a dead giveaway, they are very distinct profiles.
Engineer Bill was a little before my time, but I do remember reruns of it.
