MOW Run

Crews were busy today clearing vegetation from the ROW. A MOW car was returned by the CVRR and after changing trucks was pressed into service.

The Big Cheese also brought out the new yard switcher for testing. It is a monster but handled the R1 switches trouble free.

It looks pretty good with the Bachmann rolling stock, but not so much with the 1/29 Roosterboose.

David & Goliath

Looks good. Hope you removed the runners in the second photo.

You certainly seemed to have the nice weather for it. Still waiting for the chill to leave the air here…

Looking great, I’m still waiting for the rain and wind to go someplace else.

Nice Ralph. Where did you get the knuckle coupler on the Davenport? I need one like that for my climax link and pin.

Cool video. You’re right, the 45 tonner isn’t too big.
But the MOW caboose is way too small.
I guess the MOW car will be regulated to ā€œshelf queenā€ and an occasional cameo appearance

I wish Bachmann had modeled the low hood version. The high hood didn’t come out until 1958.

Shawn,
That’s the coupler Bachmann shipped with the Davenport.

…grinning…

The White Deer RR Club has a 44 tonner low hood. I ran it a few times I guess you could call that large scale.
