Large Scale Central

Moving

No railroad anymore, everything is packed, now packing the house.

Will be heading for Cleveland Tennessee on May 31st.

We have rented a house for now and will start building soon, but no railroads until we move again.

Hope to hook up with any GR’s in the immediate area, individual or clubs.

Best of luck on the move, Dennis

Good luck and a smooth move, Dennis

Dennis, Good luck with your move and house construction…

Dennis,

Hope you can enjoy your move (not likely), then settle quickly, relax, enjoy.

Good luck.

Barry

Dennis just cuss your not there anymore doesn’t mean ya can’t be here.

Yup! Dennis Cherry is a name that goes back a long time! Hope you’ll stick around.

Dennis, armor yourself in patience.
six years after our move my layout still isn’t completely up and running.
(well, i know, that i’m a coward, not to challenge my wife’s judgement, that trains have low priority…)

I hate moving. I did enough of that in 22 years of active Naval Service.

My lovely bride says we are going to downsize in 4 years, moving closer to the kids.

Why would we want to do that, I ask, ducking for cover. :stuck_out_tongue:

Steve; You are learning after all! The down size part does make sense, house wise not yard size! Where can I have my RR? Maybe some of us should get together, buy 20 Acres, build Little one bedroom houses for the wives and a LARGE Shop and terminial building for a nice large Garden RR!

Paul

I really like that idea!

For the kids, when they visit, we could build one of Andy’s Cabooses, uninsulated, unheated, two holer outside, running water via hose (we don’t want them moving in beyond two days, do we?). The grandkids would love it, and they would grow into a fine crew/working party.

I would make that a hose 50’ short of where it’s needed

Will be off line until next week.

This is the week of our move to Tennessee.

Have a safe trip!

WE MADE IT…

Took 2 U-haul trucks, a 20 & 27 footer plus a 8x12 foot trailer and a Car hauler.

Guys, it is not fun packing all of your hobbies, it take up a lot of space.

Got here and had to rent two 10 x 20 foot storage spaces for only our hobby storage.

Settling in and unpacking what we need for the near future only.

NOT ENOUGH.

Congratulations on the successful move.

Our hobbies are one of the reasons we haven’t moved since 1982!

I solved the growth of our collection of “stuff.” I just build another storage building! Good thing we have lots of space!
