Moving On To The Lowwer Yard

Looks good, John!

But don’t finish it up too fast, 'cause then you’ve got to get back to the yard tracks!!!

See you soon. Say hey to the pond builder.

Update, property owner finished her pond to the point I can proceed, all ladder down, track next week and post pictures.

Finished, well with track still have to weather but not today 106 in the backyard. this is at the auto switch that works perfectly

And here at the patio with the rebuilt pond. I’ll bring in more rock to layer up to the track so the ladder will be hid.

It has been a challenge, but now I can relax run trains whenever the mood strikes and relax, well not quite now I have to go back to the raised yard project. and the connect to the lower yard. Guess I’m not done. Movie later tonight. jn

That looks nicely done.

As promised the video, Thank you Tony.

Nice job.
Had a good chuckle when you lost the camera car.

The coupler on a new AMS gondola car opens at random, I’ll have to have a closer look in the AM.

Great Video, John! I could hear you thinking, “Damn it uncoupled”, but that was a great part of the video. Sunshine on the lens and the train moves out of site. The recoupling was pretty good, also. Nice trackage and railroad.

John,

Great Job!!!

Been very happy with the ladder, I went with pvc 1x2, and 1 1/2" pvc pipe. The ladder has spacers every foot and the pipe is every two feet apart.

You really should have this in your"getting close" thread as it will show progress.

Agreed! ;)

Looks great John.

I just went back and looked at some of your under construction photos since I’m installing some PVC ladder at the moment. I learned a little from the pictures that will help me with the next section. I have been fully assembling the ladder, painting, then going back and leveling the section. I like your method of leveling with partially assembled, pre-painted ladder, then going back and adding the other side of pre-painted ladder. I’m going to try that with the next section.
