Mountaineering

Been building more mountains. There will be a long bridge between the original mountain and this one.

This itty bitty cement mixer helps a lot. It’s rated for 1 1/2 cubic ft, but you have to add the mortar mix slowly. Seems to work best if you put some water in, then start adding powder. We’d been told that a plain mixer wouldn’t work, but it seems to work quite nicely and dumps into the wheelbarrow easily. You might not want to by the SMALLEST one Harbor Freight has.

Waiting a couple minutes for the mixer beats hard work with a hoe in the wheelbarrow.

I had to employ a little temperature regulation.

I started putting the back side together first so I’d have some fresh experience when we got to the front.

Isn’t that the same mixer they used to build Boulder Dam?

I think it’s a 1:29 model.

Dennis likes working the wet mortar with his hands. I don’t recommend it. Typing is touchy business.

That what Gloves are for.

Tom Looking good, I am glad to see you jumping in and Helping Sully. Break a panel up will keep the comment, oh that panel is the same as that one , and that one, and that one there.
Just food for thought
