I’ve been staying quiet hoping they go away on their own. I would never ask you to ban them for fear of losing that wonderful lighthouse of Richard’s (which might push TAC over the edge). I’ve considered image blocking, but don’t want to loose legitimate photos hosted at the same site.
We’d miss Fred’s Friar, too.
If you use firefox, adblock will allow you to block a single image. I suspect its not the avatars, but the signatures that are the problem.

I run Firefox and I have AdBlock. I disable it on here at your request so I can see all the pretty banner ads (which don’t bother me in the least up there in the top corner. With AdBlock disabled it won’t let me block images 
I fully understand using them once in a while, but to use them as part of your signature block, and in every entry one makes on here is only being spiteful and in my opinion, inconsiderate, not using it as a joke…
Fr Fred’s is different, as it’s not always a constant movement across the screen, it just a change of pictures… I was glad, when the ““kicking”” avatar went away… it too, was obnoxious, at least to me… If i want to see bugs crawling around, i’ll just step outside my door and look down… I don’t need to watch them in every forum that I read…
The nuclear explosion thing was ok, as it was only in a few threads, and not as part of one’s signature block, and in every entry that was made… I’m not looking to block/hinder/terminate the use of them, just use them with some common sense… for the most part, I do believe we are adults here…
Just my opionion… My other option, would be to quit reading the forums, and that can be done also… Altho not with any happiness…
I don’t use firefox, so that’s not an option for me…

Steve, I don’t mind them once in a while, but the movement distracts me, when trying to read the entries made… Movement always attracts the eye… and i’m old, my eyes are tired… it’s hard to keep them focused…

1…Not me !! 2…I did examine what I have posted in the past and constantly ask myself the same question? Dad (Andy) I have fixed that issue of concern JUST for you and if it bothered you and Jon that much why didn’t you or Jon shoot me an e-mail stating such? Now send me that $20 you owe me !!!

OK - Right click on image an check “Block all images from nnn” Works like a champ

Dave - Like the man said, it’s no big deal when included in a post, but when prolific posters put it annoying images in their signatures or avatars it is retro-active to every post you ever made and makes the forum very hard to read.
Thank you and Steve for dropping the bug. It was funny at first, but got old fast.
