Hi all,
Just remembered this videoclip. Unfortunately I can’t find the Australian commentary version, French has to suffice!
If Aussie or French commentary, it’s a matter of “Win any old way you can”.

Cackle - I used to take part in Biathlon for over 12 years until they made us change from using the service sniping rifle to the wussy .22 with Fortner action…no fun any more, to my mind.
When I joined the Army in 1967, a keen-eyed PTI noticed that my standing heartbeat was a near-moribund 47bpm, and that I only seemed to breathe if I saw somebody watching me…my recovery from a racing 150bpm under extreme exercise, back down to 47, was not able to be measured on his graph, as it went in a near-straight line vertically…so I was an obvious choice for THIS particular sport…
Excuse me, must just take a breath or two, just for old time’s sake…

I found out about my recovery rate when I went to Master’s swimming - part of my triathlon training - when I was a young 39.
That’s precisely why I want to try out at the biathlon - it remains to be seen if an “old goat” (turned 62 a week or so ago) can still come up with decent results, but I know that skiing won’t be the problem.

Actually those were two questions.
Not Biathlon…but violent,

…and likely why none of this troupe has ever been knighted, at least according to one member.
Thank you Vic!!!
BTW they look pretty “benighted”, they don’t need to be knighted.

Insults from two NOW…What a clever duo you are not!
Now I couldnt open HJs link so I just went to YouTube and entered “Violent Biathlon” and found another copy of it, so I knew what he was talking about. I always thought the “Upper Class Twit of the Year” race was one of the funniest things Python ever did, and violent, like HJs explosive skiers. mTHATS why I posted it. If you read more into it, you were mistaken.
Its just a funny bit, that all.
Tony, Yep, that’s it! Hehehehehehehehehehe

The marvelous Marvin theme song.
Marvin,
You really need to chill out. Otherwise you are in danger of developing a persecution complex.
We all love you. We really do.
Where else would we find someone so, umm, err, baitable?
Still, I guess that comes from being a failed ex spook.
Tony, Someone mentioned not long ago that not having others to give instructions/commands to - usually when people retire or transfer from a position of “authority” - puts a real kink into some people’s life. Perhaps they see it as “failure”, hard to figure out?!? But like you, I dearly love them, every single one of them.

I am not retired…like some…I give instructions/commands to 25 technical personnel daily on military aircraft for the government.
Marvin,
Do the brave air force pilots who risk their lives every day flying military aircraft, know that you might have been involved with those very aircraft?
