Ok guys, I keep trying to publish a picture. But, keep getting this message.
Body Value is required.
Where do I find where to put it, and what is it?
Alternatively, how do I get pictures from my album on here, into a new topic. It’s got to be easier than what I am trying to do?
Rod,
I have never seen that. So, not sure what to recommend.
When I want to publish a picture I do the following:
- Re-size the picture on my computer. I typically re-size to 800 x 600 pixels. This isn’t totally necessary, but it helps to minimize the actual space that I use.
- Rename the picture to something meaningful. Make sure that you don’t use any spaces or special characters.
- Upload the picture to the web. I have my own web site, but also have some storage here in a freight shed. Either way, it’s got to be on the web somewhere.
- Once uploaded I copy the URL of the picture using CTRL-C.
- Next, I click on the picture icon and paste the URL into the box. The picture is now displayed and available for all to see.
Could you list the steps that you are taking?
Ok got that Bruce, thank you. But, why can I upload pictures to my album on here? But, not transfer from the album to a post on here?
Me and Robin Weigert (Calamity Jane) on the set of “Deadwood”
I used Photobucket to post this image. If you copy the image as an IMG then pick the Insert/edit image icon on you post, then enter the copied URL into the top box, you will be OK.
Have you expanded the pic in your album to full size, then copied the photo, and not the url?
Is this what you are after?
Andrew I understand what you are saying. But, I still can’t understand why I can upload to the albums in LSC. But, then can’t use that picture in a post.
Steve that’s one of my pictures, and yes, that’s what I want to post.
Here’s what I did. I found that pic in one of your albums. It seems to be the only one in the album, BTW.
I clicked on the thumbnail to expand it to full size, then copied the image location. This is important. If you just copy the URL, you won’t get the image.
I then clicked on the box that has a mountain with a sun, clicked on that, and pasted the jpg in the appropriate box. Your photo should then appear.
Finish your message, then click the blue “post” button, and then admire your work.
Got it. On my IPad i don’t get the same icons for doing this. I have to use my IMac proper.
Huzzah!
I re-read my instructions. They don’t make a damn bit of sense. You did this on your own,
Dairy Queen - Brings back lots of memories for me - good and bad. My grandfather was in a car accident and ended up in a quad hospital room with 3 other gentlemen. One had the idea for a “Soft” ice cream road side business. He was going to call it “Dairy Queen” and tried to get the other three gentlemen to invest in the idea. The other two men did , but my grandfather (the plastic sign maker) said are you going to let people drive away with your silverware and dishes? The guy thought about using wooden spoons and paper bowls, but my grandfather talked about making Plastic spoons and bowls (Banana boats). He even came up with the idea for the swirl on the end of the spoon. A few weeks after he was out of the Hospital he had made the first injection molded plastic silverware and dishes. The Dies/Molds were made in Leominster, Mass and the first test runs were done there, but production was run out of our family business in Cambridge, Mass - As a kid growing up we always had lots of plastic silverware at home. I loaded a lot of boxes during summers to the point I didn’t want to go to Dairy Queen.
I had a Dairy Queen on my paper route as a kid. Needless to say when I got home at dinner time I usually didn’t have much of an appetite…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif)
