On Saturday several members of our club went up to Nelson, BC, Canada to spend the day with Ron Spencer and his wife Wendy. I met Ron on LCS 2 years ago when he showed us how he scratch built his passenger cars from plans he had from the Garden Railway magazine. He came down from Canada to one of our club meetings and joined our club.
Ron has been in several of the scratch building challenges here on LSC and you may even recognize some of his projects in the pictures I have posted. Everything you see in these pictures has been scratch built by Ron, he is quit the builder. We had a great day and a fantastic lunch prepared by Wendy, no one went away hungry. As we were getting ready to leave Ron showed us his “Winter Project”, a beautiful HO layout in his basement. His talent just keeps on going.
