do you have a copyright for that?
Back to the originaal discussion:
www.rawmaterialsuppliers.com sells mold making materials and resins for casting. The prices are about the best around including shipping. They are great people more than willing to assist with any questions or techniques.
making molds and casting is fairly easy and can be very NON TOXIC. RTVmold making material is non toxic and easy to work with. Add TIN activator and pour into master. After 24 hours (or 8) demold. No mold release is necessary but paint wood. Polyurethane casting again is non toxic. Add equal parts A and B pour into the RTV mold. no release agent is needed if RTV is used. It is so safe you can do it on the kitchen table.
I have over 200 molds as the great ADKS moutains are cold and wet. wood structures last only 2-3 yrs. I build the masters out of balsa paint and mold. Train club members and othe local clubs often borrow the molds, making the process more cost effective.
Ha, you did answer me after all, Dave…
I thought maybe you had forgotten to follow this thread or something.
Ha again! Turns out it was me, I hadn’t clicked “Watch Topic” myself! … I’m still trying to get used to this new site.
So thanks for your answer and no, it’s not on the front burner. I expect to be making a start on casting my own sideframes this summer or more likely fall. In any case I’ll want them for next winter for sure. Yes, I do have a build schedule, and I stick to it pretty closely…
So, thank you for the leads to that info. I am definitely most interested in metal casting, of course, and look forward to reading more about yr methods and experiences.
I agree with you on copyright. As I wrote earlier. it seems pretty simple to me if you’re willing to apply the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” I think a lot of the time folks try to find wiggle room for doing something that in their hearts they know is wrong, and they wouldn’t be proud of having people know about what they did. It ain’t complicated.
But enough sermonizing from me.
Cheers!

There will be a $7 charge per person, to cover the cost of the room.
