Modern Secessionist Movements in the U.S

Why am I being a hypocrite? All I’m doing is expressing my concern and asking that Palin clarify her position

Ken, as I already explained, I’ve looked into the Obama Ayers thing and there is very little there. Ayers was a complete jerk and maybe still is–I don’t know him. But he is very active in Chicago politics and Obama ended up on a charitable foundation with him. Ayers supports Obama and donated $200 to his campaign. Obama did not bomb anything, nor did he belong to an organization that did.

His campaign says this:

“Senator Obama strongly condemns the violent actions of the Weathermen group, as he does all acts of violence. But he was an eight-year-old child when Ayers and the Weathermen were active, and any attempt to connect Obama with events of almost forty years ago is ridiculous.”

What has Palin said about secession, Vogler, and the AIP?

As I have said many times, I have reservations and misgivings about Obama, I don’t love the guy or think he’s perfect, but we only have two choices.

Once again, Obama has been under public scrutiny for well over a year. He has been asked about Ayers MANY times. Palin has just appeared on the political scene and she has yet to give a single substantive interview or take ANY questions from the media.

Can you show me where I’m being a hypocrite by insisting that she explain her position on this?

First, we succeed from the US, then declare war and surrender immediately! Then we apply for foreign aid. Everybody knows these crazy Americans are embarrassingly generous to their defeated enemies!

It can’t fail! Who’s with me?

Steve you need to see the movie “The Mouse That Roared”

You know it’s funny that republicans can state that her husbands actions don’t speak for her , but yet when Baracks wife makes a comment they attack her like flies on SHI*

Mark:

I’m not a Republican, but would like to try to provide and answer to your concern:

I’ve never heard that Ms. Palin’s husband said anything close to “God Damn America,” nor that she applauded his saying anything close to that.

Mr. Obama’s long term spiritual advisor did say that while being rewarded with Obama’s devotion and lots of money.

I haven’t heard that either of the Palins have ever expressed a personal lack of pride in their country. Obama’s wife did say that she has never been proud of America . . . until Obama was the center of adulation and on his way to nomination for the office of president.

I’m not attacking anyone, but I do note that the Obamas and some of their closest long-term advisors are uniquely anti-America in both actions and words.

Happy RRing,

Jerry

Should read "Like a Lib on a tax increase, sorry fat fingers.

Neither one of them is “anti American.” Wright’s sermon is in line with people like Pat Robertson saying God will damn American for the sin of homosexuality, whichRobertson said, or Jerry Falwell saying this abut 9/11:

“I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen."

Wright was giving a sermon about nationality morality and accountability. Preachers say this kind of thing all the time–God will punish America for this or that. “It’s in the Bible,” as Wright said.

I would not have said what Wright said but I would not have said what Falwell said either–as a religious skeptic the whole thing seems slightly nuts to me. But you’re taking one line out of context.

Michelle Obama is a middle class woman with a big income and two kids–I seriously doubt that she’s anti American in any significant way, and I suspect that quote represents some kid of a slip. But even so, it’s not the same as the AIP.

The AIP is a political party founded with the express agenda of getting Alaska to secede, by a guy who repeatedly and formally expressed his hatred of the US, its institutions, and its flag. Palin’s husband, as an adult, chose to join it for 8 years. Palin herself courted the AIP’s vote, and three AIP members claimed that she was a member. One is on video claiming she is their agent “infiltrating” the mainstream parties. Last year. He has since claimed that he didn’t mean what he said, and sued to take the video down.

But ok, rev. wright is a jackass. Obama was required to give a statement explaining Rev. Wright. You don’t find his statement satisfactory–that’s fine, that’s your right. All I’m asking for here is that Sarah Palin explain her and her husband’s relationship to Alaskan secession.

Do you think that’s unreasonable?

Mike,
I don’t think that is unreasonable and if it has merit it should be used in making a voting judgement in the election. However, I find it little different than the muslim ties of Obama or his wive’s ties to hating America and take little stock in any of these statements.

What muslim ties to Obama?

Not a strange woman laying around in ponds, distributing swords at random was it ???

Tenuos Palin link there…

There has been lots of band width wasted on his early up bringing and his heritage reflected in his middle name. My arguments with Senator Obama are completely with his liberal view point, voting record and lack of experience. I'm sorry to say that he has been one of our representatives to the Senate for the last couple of years.
