This is pretty cool. It could form the basis for a model steam powered machine shop or saw mill.

I had one of those when I was kid. Got it one year for Christmas. Used to run the hell out of it. Didn’t have all that machinery hooked to it, just a flywheel, but it was fun getting it runnin…
Buy American! Jensen real steam engines rule!!!
tac, ig, ken the GFT & The Solid Fuel Boys
Hi Ken:
Yes, and the little red tray would quickly overflow with steam condensation. I used to simply keep putting new paper towels to suck up the water.
I really enjoyed the smell of the burning Esbit fuel tablet fumes.
Later my Father bought me the Mamod farm tractor model.
Both of those were great models.
While running the stationary steam plant, I often thought " too bad that this thing does not go anywhere! "
Strange how Wilesco never made a basic steam loco back then. They now offer a loco kit to assemble.
As for Jensen, why do they not now offer an American 4-4-0 type loco ? Just a basic outline tinplate model, not an Accucraft or Aster level of product. Something affordable for a Father to buy his son based on the financial obligations of Father raising a young family.

Hi again:
Both Wilesco or Jenson could build a “dribbler” model.
I guess Mamod would be best qualified as the “dribbler” looks like an early British loco.
A “dribble” would be an affordable product to market for O gauge or One gauge trackage.

I brought one to Diamondhead last year…
