Model Military Figure

How many of you guys are into or were into metal model military figures? A long long time ago I was really into making figurines. Military and fantasy were my favorite subjects. Well, after 30 some years I have one or two that have survived the trials of father time (and a house full of kids). Here’s a shot of my all time favorite figure. It was modeled after my oldest brother during his time in Vietnam.

I’ve only made figures as train accessories.

I can’t do stuff so fine these days but it was fun way back then…

Since figures were expensive, polymer clay was cheap, and all the people were 7ft giants in 1:29, I took the MLS figure class. It’s a nice sub-hobby for those cold winter evenings.

I hope you don’t have a pet peeve. Sorry, I got carried away, but it’s fun to look back at old figures

I still need to finish my MLS Class figures.

Jon.

Bravo has some nice Vietnam figures in 1/35th of characters in the movie Platoon.

Great attention to detail Jon. My boonie hat is off to you.

Thanks David.

Bravo? I’ll have to take a look at what they have.
