MLS just had new software platform installed (vBulletin) and it’s user posts migrated to the new system.
Seems to be working but a few bugs to sort out.

I went to lurk around there yesterday. What does the “Lifetime Premium Member” mean???

I’m not sure but I think most who are paid members pay yearly so I’m not sure what the ‘Lifetime’ bit is all about.
I just made myself one here on this site. I feel more important now.
Do you want one too?

Back When Shad got I think in need of money to upgrade, he offered a special for I think 200.00 to a Lifetime member.

There seems to be a lot of them. They are like lemmings.
Now the honeymoon is over, Shad has done a runner! LOL

Yeah, that seems to be a default badge they just decided to use. I’m told it should be changing to something that doesn’t say “lifetime” in the future–at least for those members who actually didn’t pay for lifetime memberships…

I am on three train forums. This one, MLS and G Scale Central. I seem never to have had any of the problems that some of you seemed to have had.
Desiderata anyone?

Yeah, we all get to choose; according to temperament, disposition and skin type (thin skin vs. thick skin).

No problems here, and just a registered member (non-paying since many yrs back paid and a whole yr of access problems) so view and post as just a registered ‘member’.

The site is sure “busy” now with advertising since v’ took over, and layered on their corp. ‘model’ !
