Item E244 653 is a pair of upgraded E10 power trucks (€ 60), both axles are now powered. BTW the E10 is officially a starter model.

it might be relegated to the ‘Toytrain’ range, but add the cost of the upgraded trucks and it is not in the Toytrain price range.
With the upgraded trucks it should finally be what it should have originally been, a very nice locomotive. It takes me back to the time when the real LGB went to Korea for the first Porter production run in the early 1990’s. You would have thought that that experience would have taught them that dumbing down a loco design does not work out in terms of reliability (and reputation). Let us hope the old single axle drive per truck E10 was an only child orphan.
