Running trains this weekend!
might want to switch to kadees. That and ariwire decreased my derails significantly. looks great!!!
Nice run Matt. You might want to check the couplers at 0:31. One seems a tad high/low.(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
John, Kadee’s are on the to do list.
Dave, yeah. I have a variety of couplers and heights. lol. Oddly enough, they don’t give me issues. The mount on the chessie engine broke!
Varying coupler heights may not be giving you problems, yet, but they could at any time. Even if you don’t convert to KaDees, I would still recommend getting a KaDee height gauge, and adjusting all your couplers to that height.
If you do convert to KaDees, check all of the KaDee trip pins for height. They should be 1/8 inch above the rail-head. I have found that most are too low, right out of the package.

Good advise!
I just cut the trip pins off.
Thanks for the tip David! I plan on switching my mixed freight over to Kadee’s. Four of the cars already have kadee’s on them.
The coal train I’ll leave with the aml couplers for now. They seem to do o.k.

That oil rig at the beginning looks familiar . I did a Lionel layout for a doctor a few years back and it had something like that on it. Is that O scale ? Nice video as usual Matt . I liked the 2nd and 3rd units nose to nose.
Thanks Mike. Yep, I have two of those oil pumps. They are Walthers O/O-27 operating oil pumps.
