Hmmm I think you guys are right the 45 degree angle would be necessary to keep that coal falling out.
I used 10 degrees for everything cause I thought it looked good in my tight spot and with this condensed build. The further along this build comes the more I’m convinced that this will be a non working tipple.
I have been busy the last few days.
The winch house is planked.

Here is the chute getting ready to go in for test fitting but not ready for the final install because the roof to the shop needs to be slid in through the side first.

More planking is done, the door frames are on, one at each end, there is no room for a window, the stand for the workers is on, a ladder made from 2 strips of wood and brad nails is test fitted ( I need to make another) and what I would call the weather shield for the chute is being placed.

The roof sections are being made from the coroplast. The whole tipple will get a bath in ink and then the shop and winch house will be painted red. That is the plan right now.
