Mik's Build Challenge 2016

Or is it this?

Oh that last one looks fun

Well, let’s see. Dave says he “nailed down” his choice. He says Mik would like it, but I never knew Mik, or Mik Just Mik, or Harry, Mick, or Alan so unless it has to do with multiple names I’m clueless there. He’s sending out rather involved kits and says there’s “some good stuff” in them. There’s the possibility of a pin nailer and hence the possibility of something made of wood? He didn’t get his Corvette although hoarding is “accelerating,” and he keeps telling us to “hang in there.”

My guess is we build a wooden garage/workshop for the Corvette and an attached gallows for the first guy who tries to steal the Corvette, therefore assuming a 1:24 Danbury Mint Corvette is the grand prize.

Or not. I think I need to re-read a couple of Sherlock Holmes stories to sharpen my powers of deduction.

All in all, I like Vic’s suggested builds better!

John, I am with you. A pin nailer and corvette have been mentioned several times in the lead up to the announcement. I built a gas station a few years back, so I am hoping that a garage, or service facility, would be what it is.

But, the challenges I have participated in have not been that defined. We got a door, and I built a gas station around it. We got a basic flat car kit, and I built a bobber caboose. We got corrugated metal panels and I built an oil well. So I suspect we will be getting some wood, and we will have to build something out of it. Probably along a theme, and that is where the Vette may come in.

Times up… No One is even close… But I have got to give Vic bonus points for the Killer Goth Train. Some how I just don’t see that getting around the pizza.

Have Fun Guys…

BTW: I have been posting pics of cut stone buildings for months, and I featured them on my last years Taylor Tin works, Just like I posted the tin on the door challenge, roof and walls, and the …
