Mik's Build Challenge 2015

I don’t know what I’m likin more, the pix that Vic’s been puttin up or the builds.

Our cat is still asleep and the doxie just went to sleep! But our two don’t sleep together!

Today I cut firewood in case winter comes!

I am taking a day off for sure, but given I didn’t manage to actually finish, is it kosher to continue documenting things in the build thread until the job is done? It should be easy enough to distinguish posts before and after deadline.

J.

It was fun and probably the best challenege yet. I tried to find the thread on the first build challenge that Mik did but could not find it. Curiouse to see how it has progressed over the years.

Please do I am enjoying your build

No rest for the wicked, I have dove straight into research looking at the official railway eqiument registers

Day off??? Where? By 1:30 I’ve driven 60 miles, taken a PET Scan, meow, drained a cistern and pulled the pump, been to 2 stores looking for lift and matching fittings, yeah fat city day off, fer sure. Will haveta check tomorrow at big boxes.

So final pics in our logs and ?

Considering the alternative would be orders to drop kick… or worse! Yea. I have to take tonight off. It seams the batteries in my camera went flat overnight. After they charge I will have to document the results of my crews off beat efforts.

A day off from amateur rhinoplasty on a certain pint sized GE electric. I too have done ‘useful’ things instead today. For example I now know all about the VAT implications of exporting goods to Switzerland. But if I’m honest, it wasn’t actually that fulfilling. J.

Dave…when do we vote? Also, if you send me your address, I’ll send you some money.

With the quality and variety of the builds, voting will be damn near impossible, for me anyway.

We’re still waiting for Dave’s entry as well

Dave? Dave’s not here, this year… I thought he expressed chagrin at a lack of entry… no? (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-frown.gif)

I thought Dave mentioned he wasn’t going to post his until the very end, had something “special” in mind (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)

Oh Goodie! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)I hope that’s true.

man, I’m glad I sat this one out-looking Great so far!

An update!

It was a beautiful day so Stan decided to take the “One Horse Motive Power” our for a “run” on the Tortoise & Lizard Bash. (Pardon the weeds but the crew has been very busy as of late.)

These “gallop bys” clearly show that while the horse may not pull The California Experience without a bit of aid (due to belt slippage), he can certainly trot with the best of them and is ready to take on all comers, even those with twice the horse power!

Sorry for the wobbly columns, pasted from Word

Sorry guys: Put Dave in the DNF category.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-frown.gif)

I got the Steam/Air/Propane powered Motor built, and ran into big trouble custom turning the 80" main drivers for the steam punk race train.

I’ll follow-up in a couple of days.

Thats a bummer Dave, not even a napkin drawing to toss in the ring?
