Large Scale Central

Mik's Build Challenge 2015 Paul A

When I right click on your avatar, Paul (That’s the little picture of you beside the locomotive) I get a properties box. It’s full of information about that image, much of which is useful only to computer geeks. One of those lines contains the address of the image’s location on a server somewhere out there. That address is called the url. In the case of your avatar, this is its address, or url:

Hope this helps.

Whoops, didn’t mean to step on your feet, Eric, I must’ve been typing when your post came through.

url on the web it’s; www.largescalecentral.com

here it’s what shows when you right click on a pic and choose; copy image location. Don’t try to read it, just highlight and copy (right click > Copy image location)

Open tab with post, click on the tree icon and in top line of box; place cursor (arrow) on the line and right click, then Paste puts it in the box, at the bottom of box, choose Insert and there you go.

I use firefox too.

John

And the other thing is I do have work (paying kind) to get done! Before a couple of clients come looking for ME! Paul However thank you for teh info!

IT WORKED!!! Thank you all of you for the help. That is gluing on the bolsters which I had to later brad nail as they came lose when I drilled for the dowel to mount the trucks. Now to get a few more pictures loaded and then here. Had to delete some older pic’s from the shed to make room!

Paul

Paul, Try using an Album, they’re separate from the Sheds.

Open Albums then My Albums from the headers.

You get the option of creating a new album and naming it.

Fill it up and then post 'em.

Same process to post a pic.

John

Ok, here is the Cabin under construction.

Now it is on the car, but no trucks as it would roll all over the place. And no windows, yet. I’ve cut them but have not glued in the plastic windows. And the roof it still in my brain but not in material form.

Good progress! The cabin looks professional.

I a!m glad you could work out the photos…I hope I helped a bit rather than just adding to the confusion!

Paul,

Don’t feel bad. I pretty computer savvy and it took awhile to figure it out. One thing you will find is that Firefox is much more friendly than IE when it comes to these forms (infact I prefer Firefox in most cases, bit not all.)

I’m making some progress but it does need paint. It is not perfect by any means but it’s been fun!

Very nice…neat logger’s model.

Doc Tom

OK, tomorrow is the “Day” so here wwe go. Yes the camera has a problem with focus!

The other end! And the focus problem!

Final Pic.

Love the build and really like the saw, I am a sucker for homemade details

Yeah the saw does it for me too. Nice little logging crummy. I see it’s Delton trucks to the rescue again. The hobby is lucky to have those! they look great under everything. Good Job Paul, and you also did good getting it done ahead. No need for all-nighters.

Paul, you still need to post a pic of this in the finished build entries thread.

Thank you Vic, I’m new to this and did not know I needed to do that little thing. There done now. Paul Austin
