While at Marty’s we had a chance to go down to Richard Snyder’s new layout about 20 minutes south. Great looking spot in the woods. Ron Senek had his Mike and I had mine. His wife Holly took pix, Ron ran the engines while I took pix/video.
The first clip shows my Mike without the metal chimney inside, this improved the draft(I think), and let me light it up easier with the chuff pipe installed. Seems you have to run it a lap or two, then it is fine with the metal chimney pipe installed and you then get the good sound, but still have good plumes. Ron always has better plumes, I was wondering if his using the Aristo steam oil instead of the heavier oil I use would make a difference on that?
