Welcome to the Disneyland Railroad in LGB (G) scale! This is the final video of Imagination Station Kids on Track`s LGB 2-4-4, Fred Gurley, #3, which is finally in service for children to operate thanks to the tender loving rebuild by Al Messinger and Messinger Model Works. Al lovingly restored this locomotive to better than original condition. The locomotive began having voltage fluctuation problems years ago and was sent to 4 separate places for repair, only to be gutted out, the wires cut, factory circuit boards removed, holes drilled in the chassis, tape all over the place, the sound system hooked up incorrectly and a number of other problems. It was a lost cause times ten, that is until Al graciously offered to donate his time, parts and expenses, to revive it. With the donations of parts from Klaus and Phoenix and others, Al invested many hours and hundreds of dollars to build a circuit board with a smoke control switch, re-install the electronics, install L.E.D. headlights, install Phoenix sound correctly and basically rebuild the physical parts of the locomotive back to original. Al and those who donated to this project have really went out of their way to ensure kids get to enjoy this train for years to come.
