Merry Christmas from balmy Southern New England

Good Day eh? The wind from the Great White North has delayed visiting Southern New England so far this year. Today, Christmas Eve, it might hit 58F here. Shopping is done and gifts are all wrapped. Time to run a Christmas Train. This scene from our first Large Scale Christmas in 2000…

But this year will likely look more like this photo taken Christmas Day 2004…

From everyone at the Radder ranch and the NSSRR / CVSR

Ahhhh, almost time for a real “Sheperd’s Pie”, made from Lamb. Too much faith is put into “Big Birds” at this time of year.

A good sheperd's pie and good Whisky makes for a fine Monday night's dinner.

Tuesday, I’ll stuff a “Game Hen” with wild rice and chives, serving it with fresh veg, and a fine white whine.

Wednesday it’s poached Salmon, on a bed of lemon flavoured rice and spinach, covered with a splash of Hollandaise sauce.

Thursday is a day of peace and relaxation…I’ll find an excuse to go to my brother’s place, and bum a meal.

Friday, it’s a pot of home baked beans, and bheer.

Saturday just a fine rib steak, with a side of veg, and red whine.

Sunday, I’ll allow myself to eat out, long before the stupidity of New Years’ Eve gets in my way; then home to bed.

All this and during the days, I’m in the shop working on long dormant projects.

Enjoy your holidays, guys......I'm retired and don't get any now.

Beginning a rainy day here and then off to friend’s for an early Christmas dinner.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!

and Fred…quote “Friday, it’s a pot of home baked beans, and bheer.” You’d better prepare for the explosion on Saturday!

All ready for that, Richard. I figure the smell will keep visitors away, so I can get on with my hibernation…!!!

The blessings of an indoor layout! Nasty weather outside and I can still work and play on my layout…

Richard, I guess that rain is supposed to get here before the end of the day…:frowning: Right now we still have a little snow on the ground…so we can at least say we had a white Christmas. Once Christmas is over I don’t want to see any more snow…!!

…Blessings of an outdoor pike in the winter:

 NO MUSQUITOES

I’m not bothered with them in the summer time…indoors or out.

But on the other hand…yellow jackets…Grrrrrrr…!!
