Memorial Day

It is Memorial Day.
Time to pause and give thought to those who went to battle for us, and didn’t return.

Raining here. No trains today unless things clear up later in the day.
Ralph

Just put the Flag up. Plans are to attend the annual Memorial Day Service in a couple of hours. Yes, we do need to always remember, take a moment to pay our respects, give thanks and honor those that gave their lives, so we could live this wonderful life we have. It is so easy to just take it all for granted.

Pittance Of Time.

Pause to remember?

A Reverent Day Indeed.

“Let us solemnly remember the sacrifices of all those who fought so valiantly, on the seas, in the air, and on foreign shores, to preserve our heritage of freedom, and let us re-consecrate ourselves to the task of promoting an enduring peace so that their efforts shall not have been in vain.” --Dwight Eisenhower “Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.” --Sir Winston Churchill

“Lest we forget” Everyone have a nice Memorial Day, and remember those who fought, and died for our freedom’s!! The Regal

Amen

Sometimes there’s not enough thanks in the world for those that have served. Thank them all, past and present.

Dave and I decided to pause all the trains at the Botanic at 3:00 for the national moment of silence. Forgot to tell the other engineers. I used the All-Stop button on Aristo’s TE. Two other guys went nuts wondering why everything stopped working.
