After ten years…THIS year I’ve been ‘limited’ three times, sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo…after I received an email from their ‘resolution office’ asking if I was happy about the way that THEY dad dealt with MY[?] query…

'I have paid my ebay debts instanteously since the very first purchase, over the last near-decade.

I have a 100% starred ebay history.

I have never reneged on a deal, not have I given any cause for anything less than total satisfaction in my dealing with those from whom I have bought over the last near ten years. I do not sell on ebay - only buy.

I have spent many thousands of pounds/dollar/euros with you.

Nevertheless, you have decided to limit my account - not once, not twice, but three times this year, and I’ve had enough.

I have been put through the hoops of having to find another way to pay from my purchases, at my own cost, not only to my bank balance, but to my reputation as an honest ebay customer.

The most recent ‘limit’ hit me as I tried to pay for an item costing $10.00 plus $7.00 shipping.

Not $17,000, not even $1700 or $170, but SEVENTEEN dollars.

Your system - or one of your high-flying financial whizz-kids - obviously believes that I am somehow a viable threat to your global financial stability.

I think that you can better struggle on as best you can without me.’

I agree with you Tac. When PayPal kept bugging me about giving them my banking account number, I flat out refused. I ONLY BUY using PayPal, but I will not be giving them any more information. I’m done with them. The folks I buy from now, know my account information and that’s all I need.

Tac, and Gary you are not alone they are treating everyone like that, I too am being shot through all these hoops, and obstacles, and then I threw another monkey wrench at myself, changing an email, I’ve been with them since 2005 left for a few months, due to some miscommunications that have been cleared up, they made me jump through all their hoops just like a new individual, and I’m still trying to get things straightened out. After talking to India a few times anybody would be frustrated. I’ve sent countless emails to em, some not very flattering, and they just don’t give a damn, as they are soooooooooo big and don’t care, you are just another drop in the bucket, and or number to them faceless, and whatever else you want to say about being faceless to them.

Here’s the problem, they really are the only game in town when it comes to online auctions (yes there are others i’ve checked) but in trains really they are. So you just have to as they say s–t or get off the pot, look the other way, or go away forever I guess. I’ve tried to be nice and tactfull, but now I don’t care either. If I use em, I have to play by their games, and or rules, put up or shut up, and that’s just the way it is like or not. For me it’s NOT but if I need to I’ll use em, otherwise not!!!

Yep, we are kind of stuck with them. My biggest “like” is, although they have your financial information, no one else does. I have been a victim of Credit Card fraud and I really dont like my cc number out there with multiple people. I like paypal because it is in one location. If I buy something from someone I can still pay with a cc and feel secure in that the merchant I’m using isnt going to misuse my cc.

These days, if I want to buy stuff stateside I ask the vendor if he takes $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. If not, then I do without.

Saved myself a fortune that way, not buying things…

I quit using both Ebay and PayPal a long time ago. Ebay “claimed” someone was trying to use my account and suspended it. Despite numerous attempts to straighten it out I never got any response. So I quit both of them.

if i remember right, you understand german.
why not make your buys over german ebay?
i never found a german ebay seller, who did not accept simple bank to bank money transfers.
