Marvin the Paranoid Android

Found this little tribute recently…one of my favorite character creations from the world of fiction…Marvin the manic depressive robot from the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. This is what happens when you program a robot with all the knowledge of the known universe then give it a “Genuine People Personality” program and turn it on…instant depression.

What’s next…Old Warner Brothers “Marvin the Martian” Cartoons?

Jezuz Christmas Cookies! Someone's certainly hyper-sensitive !

Just beause the robot’s called Marvin doens’t mean its about you…I think your taking this a little too personal, shheeeesh … everything called “Marvin” isnt about YOU. Last time I checked your profile your first name was listed as “Verne” …I have no idea where Marv or Marvin came from, nor do I care to know.

Shee-it! I guess I better not post the clip about Vogon Poetry reading either lest I get accused of criticising your writing skills or lest the very image of the Vogon will cast aspertions on your good looks, and I better not post the clip on the Babelfish lest you think I’m telling you to go shove a fish in your ear…

Ya know…for such a claimed tough bad-ass ex-soldier, you sure have a thin skin…

PS look at my profile, that pic of Marvin the Paranoid Android has been there for a very looooooooooong time, and it was never about YOU either…bet you didnt even know it was there.

PSPS their WILL be more clips to come, NONE OF THEM will be about you, not even the ones with Marvin the robot in them. nor if I chose the ones about Marvin the Martian, namely because he’s in one of my favorite Loony Tune characters.

Get over it…got enough wet towel fights going on around here as it is…geeeez!

More HHGTTG fun…

Not really...they claim it's due to the PTSD.

Vic,

Many, many years ago they ran HHGTTG on CBC radio, then I came across the books a little while back and remembered how goofy the story was. What an absolute hoot!

When they plant me someday, this is the song I’ve instructed to be played.

HJ somewhere I have the entire radio series on tape, its very different as the books were written after the radio series.

However I do think they lost a few things, I would have loved to see the 6 mile high statue of Arthur throwing the cup at the Nutramatic machine.

Nutramatic “Share and Enjoy”

Arthur “Uhh… Its revolting!”

Nutramatic “That drink was scientificaly created to your unique personal tastes”

Arthur “I see, so I’m a masochist with no taste buds!”

Nutramatic “If you enjoyed this drink, why not share it with your friends”

Arthur “Because I want to keep them”

Nutramatic “Share and Enjoy”

Adams was a genius

Victor,
Some people are just too Vogon-like to appreciate H2G2 et al…
They’re the one’s that never could master the art of
missing the ground when learning to fly…
BTW, are you a member of the H2G2 site?

GoodBye & Thanks for all the Fish…
