Name one of the original group that you have actually met?
State when you actually visited the factory?
Name a B.T.O. (LGBMRRC) convention you actually attended?
Jack,
My journey in IIm started in 1999:
there was no reason to meet anyone of the original group, following their “progress” towards insolvency could easily happen by other means. Besides “Everything is according to plan” and similar bon mots were mentioned often enough that one could simply nod and think “Oh yes, now where have we heard this before?”
there was no necessity to visit the factory - I had what they produced right in front of me and could take it from there. You see in my previous life I wasn’t scheduling bus routes and my short time in the army amounted to exactly 17 weeks and a few days. All the rest I frittered away in tool rooms and high tech production facilities.
never felt the need to attend a BTO or LGBMRRC convention. Haven’t attended a Garden Railroad Convention, either.
I just don’t need the rah-rah the way you and some others apparently do, nor am I inclined to dance to any tunes fiddled by whoever and I certainly don’t move at the end of strings like some of the marionettes these past few years.
