March Snow

Today is my bride’s birthday. It has always snowed after her birthday. Sometimes not much, but sometimes 10 inches of flurries.

Ric,
Happy birthday to Jan and may she have many more birthday snowfalls.
Ralph

Happy Birthday to Jan.
Now Ric what are you saying you got Jan a snow blower for her birthday?

Jan, Happy Birthday!!!

Make Ric take you out to dinner…

Happy Birthday

And may it be somewhere expensive

Happy B-day Jan, and many more

Happy Birthday Jan

In your honor, it will snow here tomorrow. Thankfully the ground is now warm and the sun high, so it won’t stick on the roads.

Whoever is praying for snow, please stop.

I woke up to light snow around an inch of new snow. Suppose to snow all day. Im never going to see my railroad.

Jan appreciates all the wishes for her to have had a Happy Birthday. No I didn’t get her a snow blower, but I did get here a pair of battery heated socks. She tried them last night and she’s going through batteries like crazy. Monday involved a trip to Bloomington to celebrate with grandkids up north and tonight we will celebrate with local kids and grandkids. Last night she just wanted to stay home and have a favorite meal.

We’ve got temps in the 30’s and 40’s. All snow is gone, but as temp rises we have rain in the forecast. We did get a short bike ride in Sunday, felt good even though chilly.

From the Ski Boys:

All the snow is gone, and the grass is green
I’ve been for a walk on a bright spring day
I’d be skiing now if I was in St. Paul
Minnesota dreamin’
Minnesota dreamin’ on such a snowless day!

Sounds like a good birthday Jan.
It doesn’t look like we’ll see enough snow this year to even use a plow on the layout. I’m actually not missing it.

We had a bunch of snow yesterday. It’s a good thing it was a little warmer as if it had been cooler we would have 6 to 8 inches on the ground. As of noon today most gone. 70 degrees by Sunday. Yipee. And NSCAR race time here in Atlanta. Later RJD

Belated happy birthday, Jan.

BTW if anyone has too much snow, please let me know; I’ll provide you with a forwarding address. We really need some more for the Vancouver Paralympics.

Oh on an other topic, wasn’t that some glorious finish to the Gold Medal hockey game, put the icing (no pun intended) on the cake, eh!? Imagine, didn’t manage to win a Gold in the previous two Olympics on Canuck soil and then follows up with 14 Gold (new winter record). What a show!

For those who didn’t catch on to the hydraulic malfunction during the opening ceremony; what would be the chances that Bombardier designed the system? Remember they had a few flukey problems with their plane landing gear too. Gear won’t come down, gear won’t go up; two sides of the same coin? :stuck_out_tongue:
