Amazing how a little maple syrup can make so many things taste better.
My wife buys goat cheese with maple flavouring.

It is supposed to be eaten on crackers. However we place a blob on the side of our Caesar salad plate. Dip the fork into the cheese and then pick up some salad. The first taste is the salad and garlic. But then there is a creamy maple finish. MMMM!
A marinade for a salmon fillet can be made with maple syrup and a touch of soya sauce. 20 minutes in the oven and the salmon is cooked but moist. The pieces separate with the push of the fork. The marinade makes a pleasant finish to the taste of the salmon.
