Manual ground throws on the DC&M

Nice work, guys…you have done with the simple “Barrel Bolt”, the same things I have done, although not as nicely finished as some of the posted examples.

Lately our experience has led us to just go with a simple bell crank, under tension of a sprung (With a lock washer) fulcrum screw. This avoids the need of any springs for tension on the point rails.

This of course won’t work if you don’t have solid roadbed to screw into. The screws do need adjustments occasionally, with changes in the wood roadbed, due to wetness or dryness of the PT wood.
