MakerBot at the local library

BIG question is.
"How will the 3D printing materials stand up to weather and UV
If it is a shell, (boiler, oil car ) how will it stand up to handling?

Just a thought before we all go mad and buy a 3D printer!!..

I’m looking at doing stuff for rolling stovk that will be painted and stored indooors when not in use

There is a plan online for a passenger platform, i was thinking of using is to test it outside year round

I don;t think I need to buy one, local library has 5 Makerbot2’s 1 makerbot 1 (in one lab) and another 2 Makerbot 2’s in the kids lab

I expect it would hold up as well as anything else made of styrene. Just protect it from uv.

Tom depends on the filament, our library uses 2 kinds, one is made of a bio degradable sugar basied product
