Bob, those conveyors are amazing. Wonderful blend of processes and materials to get the detail, strength and durability.
I take it you’ll also do the overhead gantry in some fashion?

Yes that’s next on the planning bench. Not quite sure now to get the spindly look yet be able to survive being outside. Maybe aluminum shapes. I don’t think I have enough brass…

This has some promise. Found a 1:35 Bailey Bridge for printing, scaled the parts 2x, and then cut and assembled one of the side pieces. They will have an inset in the corners to hold some 6mm aluminum angle for strength. I’ll probably end up using this as a prototype and redesigning it for ease of printing.
I ended up rolling my own girders. This is the rough layout over the three tracks. Need to work on boxing in the horizontal bit.
The control house will be on the right, still need to finalize the design for that.
And a suggestion of a hoist motor.
Wow, excellent! Great use of mixed media for strength and detail, love it.
It’ll look fantastic out on your layout.
So that’s what they call it these days!
You know you are getting old when you have to ask your son what the hell a “trap house” and a “plug” are while watching a movie!
