I can imagine a new event pit at one of the large scale train shows, where people could participate in a sort of railroady demolition derby. Oooh, with a nice HO or Lionel layout in the middle where those guys try to escape the large scale predators… yeah, that’s the ticket. 
Yep, here we go …next thing ya’ know were gonna hear “Throw them into the lions den” and Hines is gonna photoshop a “roosters den”. Then there would be another event within the event as well!

It doesn’t hurt the beast! The bumper tires also help. Front to back motion isn’t so bad, it is the side to side motion that can be hazardous. Too much speed and side motion has caused it to tip a couple of times.
A future dream mod would be to mount the crane house on a servo, so I can RC swing it in motion. Then I could really use it as a counterweight to take curves at higher speed.

That thing is CRAZY Jim.
Imagine the FEAR it must invoke in the humans and animals that see it as it rumbles down the track and pulls into a station. It’s like a Pirate ship on tracks. If you are going to expand on this and make a train I see a Booty/Loot car built like a big bank safe and a car for captives.
The “Last Leviathan” looks like it would be a fun popcorn movie. Has Netflix offered you a deal yet?

While he’s at it, might as well tack on a prison car or two, alternate weapons cars (acid tank, pump and fire hose come to mind; flame throwers…), flatcar with “EVA” vehicles…

Yes! I almost added a couple of dirt bikes to the build, but couldn’t find anything in scale that I liked that was within the budget. But some runabouts would be a good add. I would also like to make something like the bomb trailer as another car.
Very cool. You could also make an entire tanker into a bomb. Just back it into a siding, “set and forget,” and haul the heck out.
A methane “concentration car” made like a big still with a storage cylinder to go with the pig car.

I’ve got one you can borrow…, but she’s a red heeler. And yes, she is a tire chaser for delivery vehicles, but not autos and will go for heels too.
