Mac users?

I’m getting ready to make decals for some rolling stock for my Challenge 2 which I’m still working on!.
I’m trying to find a truly free copy of Truetype for Railroad Roman for my Mac and had no luck after 45 minutes. There are lots of sites that claim they have it but I haven’t found anyone who actually does have a free version.
Does anyone have a source for the Truetype version?

Here’s one that has three versions:

Thank you Ray, that was just what I couldn’t find. Now we’ll see how I do after a 45 year break from applying decals!

Doug, what are you using for a printer (inkjet, etc.) and what are you going to print them on? (waterslide paper?) Keep us posted on how they turn out.

I’ve had good luck with laser decal paper. Have to take in a disc I’ve put it on to get it printed on a friends color laser printer. the ink-jet ones always ran one me, no matter how much I sprayed them. I got my decal paper on ebay. Clear and white.

For my iMac I use the Color It art program, pretty cheap but works great. I use it for all my photos also to crop down/etc. It’s made only for Macs. Versatile to use, but easy enough to master.

Just what we need for the wife’s and my Macs as we were looking for something just like “Color it”. Little spendy but most likely worth every penny !

I should have a good or bad luck report on Friday on decals. I’ll try my luck today!

Here’s the laser decals I had done for the rotary tank. Designed them on the Color It program.

Really nice job Jerry.
I like the quakity of laser better but I was not successful finding anyone that could use a Mac file.

I just save them as a JPG on the disc, any program can read that.

I don’t run Apples, but since this thread centers around Fonts…

I’m looking for the New Haven or Boston & Maine font used during the McGinnis era (bold heavy serif N and H or B and M) to help Andy C with a project. Any ideas what the font name might be ow where I could come up with it?

I only need a few letters, so if necessary I can create it by hand.

Jon,
If there is no hurry, I have a disc with thousands of fonts. I can rip you a copy.
Ralph

Thanks Ralph - That would be cool. The more I look at this project the more I think I will need to hand draw the letters. I only need 2.

Ralph, thanks… Jon, you too

I took this picture of the inkjet decal before spraying it with matte to cover the edges. It’s not quite straight but what do you expect after 45 years!
I still can’t upload from Freight Shed so you’ll want to see the file labeled decal.
