The dear old lady (she’ll get you wusser if you ain’t polite) is threatening to dump eight inches of snow, ice pellets and freezing rain on us tonight (Sunday night), and another eight inches tomorrow. Fortunately, I have the day off, so I can shovel. Wheeee! Unfortunately, I still have to drive She Who to and from her work (she won’t drive herself in bad weather).
I guess the Friar’s last moon dance went awry. Must have gone widdershins around the One-eyed Yellow Idol.
We only got three inches, plowed the line…my brother, however, is claimed to have 15 inches dumped on him.
Trying to get him on the phone to confirm and see if he plowed HIS railroad!
Gawd awful sloppy mess on the East side of the state. First, we get dumped on with 2 storms…about 6"-8" then it starts raining this afternoon…then snowing…then raining…and blowing like crazy…I’ve been hearing howl for the last several hours. Who knows what we’ll wake up to in the morning. My sorry butt is too pansy to go out in this crap and do a midnight nude dance…Brrrrrrrrrr…! Maybe I’ll just wiggle my nose and ears and hope the worst of this crap dumps on HJ instead…
Forecast here was for snow turning to rain late Sunday.
I planned to finish the last of the leaves before the storm hit. Woke up Sunday to snow with a dusting accumulated on the ground and decided that it was an indoor day.
Lit the gas fireplace in the basement and found my workbench (it’s been buried since June). Finished putting together a Dizzy that I had done the hardwire truck mod to probably 8 months ago. Ran some trains around the reverse loop indoors and enjoyed several cold beers.
What weather ?
Oh crap - the snow turned to freezing rain overnight. Had to scrape the windows on the car to get to work. Schools had 2 hour delay which meant there was no line at Dunkin Donuts so I got in early.

Snow’s gone here. Temp is almost 40 at 7:30am and we are socked in with the Seattle drizzles…

Snow's gone here.
Just spent two hours with my little snowblower cleaning the double driveway we share with the neighbors. Boys and their toys.
I think we have had as much snow in this one go as we saw all last winter. Ain’t finished yet. Oh well, we’ve had worse in years past. At least the forecast ice pellets and freezing rain didn’t show (crosses fingers and knocks wood).
Good thing I had the snow tires put on the van on Saturday. Would be a leetle hairy on the roads without them.

We got snow yesterday and overnight, raining now … supposed to warm up to 10ºC tomorrow. Hell, I won’t clear the driveway … let it melt!
Back to GRR projects!
I saw 50 F on one of the bank thermometers today… My puter says it’s 45 right now.!

I’d be glad to let them unload it at my house…
Warren Mumpower said:Word is that the "hot" money in question belongs to a certain nonexistent business confraternity of what would have been Sicilian origin if it actually existed. You might not really want it at your house ...
